Drukpa Kunga Peljor - the London Drukpa Centre

In September 2007, His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa named the London Drukpa Centre Drukpa Kunga Peljor, after the second Gyalwang Drukpa, as we moved into our first premises in Mayfair.

Since then we have moved to  Primrose Hill in North London and these premises were inaugurated by the Venerable Drubpon Ngawang in June 2009 - you can click here to watch a short video clip of part of this day.

According to His Holiness’s vision our centre provides a meeting place for followers of the Drukpa lineage worldwide, as well as being the ‘junction’ for Live To Love activities in the UK. The main purpose of the centre is to benefit beings by sharing the positive part of our lives with others.

We were honoured to receive a visit from His Holiness in January 2010 .

Drubpon Ngawang visits the centre regularly to give teachings and practice advice. We have also received a visit from Ani Lhamo, one of the nuns from Drukpa Plouray in France which is the headquarters of the Drukpa lineage in Europe.

Regular activities at the centre include:

Practice sessions on the 10th, 15th, 25th and 30th of each lunar month

A weekly meditation course entitled Back To Simplicity, which runs in 10-week terms, three times a year

We also run a small shop selling mainly practice texts, plus dvds and cds of teachings by Drukpa masters. Please contact us if you wish to make an appointment to visit the centre.

The address of Drukpa Kunga Peljor is:

1st Floor, Leeder House, 6 Erskine Road, London NW3 3AJ - it is the red door opposite to Manna restaurant.

The nearest tube is Chalk Farm on the Northern line.
