His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa has recently started asking his friends and students in the west to begin activities of benefit to their community. The umbrella title of these engaged activities is “Live to Love”. 800 years ago, Tsangpa Gyare, the first Gyalwang Drukpa taught Buddhist philosophy and practice throughout the Tibetan region. The Drukpa Lineage became vastly popular due to the accessibility of the style of teaching, which did not rely purely on the formal ritual practice popular at that time. Carrying on this new wave, the Gyalwang Drukpa encourages us to truly help beings and engage in these activities.
