Live To Love November 2009

“On Sunday 15 November we carried out our monthly L2love activity by visiting the homeless in South London.  Members of the UK sangha and other people had kindly donated a lot of warm clothes such as sweat shirts, fleeces, jackets, and sleeping bags.  When we got there, we asked the homeless  what they needed and we tried to give them what they asked for.   Two members of our group also bought them hot tea and coffee.  We chatted with some of them and each one has their own story to tell, their own history.   The homeless we helped that day seemed to appreciate very much our donations and the  time we spent with them.  Through this L2love activity, the appreciation of what we have also increases. We are planning to go back next month with more clothes and hot soup.  We would also like to do more in future to help them become more independent and back into employment and a decent way of life”.
